Tedx lecture
1)      Plan B believes that the media always gives teenagers bad representation and they always show them as if they are up to something. Drew says that is wrong, not all teenagers are bad. They’ve always been given a bad name that’s why now they do what they think is right and they do the things which they are told not to.  He says that the government do not respect people who live in a council estate or people who are living under benefits. That’s why he strongly hates the government and politics. He himself has been through this that’s why he knows everything, he isn’t saying this from someone else point of view, he’s saying this from his point of view.  In his TEDX lecture he shows that he really is a good man because the thing he wants to do is really good. He wants to motivate and wants to sort of those children’s lives who live in council estate and who start taking drugs at teenage life. What he tells us about himself is that when he was 10 he got kicked out of school and he says that he had no respect for his teachers for the community. He thought that he is not accepted by the society. The reason why he really hates the government is because he says that the taxes that everyone pays do not go for the right use. He doesn’t care for the rich people, he cares for the poor. He knows how it feels being brought up in a broken family.

2)      The target audience for the Tedx lecture were journalist and people who read the guardian newspaper.  The social economic classification for this group would be A/B because they all looked like they have a great life and a great job with a great pay. The pyschographics group related to this would be aspirers because they are people who have more money or more respect than others. The target audience for his lecture are completely different to his target audience for his music albums and his film. The target audience for his film is from 18 to about 32, you could also call them young adults. The target audience for the lecture is peopling aged 32+. This age group is completely different from the age group for Ben Drew’s film.  I think for his music he is targeting 13-18 because his message in his music is not to do the bad things which he would defiantly be targeting  young teens because they are the ones that fall in to traps like that and in that age they get influenced.

3)      Plan B says that the media demonises the young children who live in council estate. He says that they never show the good things they do, but they always show the bad. This means that they always try to give a bad stereotype to the young youth living in council estate. He also said that the media changed the meaning of the word “chav”. They named all the teenagers chav not only that but they gave a negative representation to them. Now whenever the word chav is used against teenagers they are trying to give a bad representation to the teenager. Stanley Cohen believes the media makes the problems sound even worse than it actually is which is called amplification. The media exaggerated the event/news making people in society worry even more causing a moral panic.
