The cat creeps 1930
There are loads of different shots and camera movements in the cat creeps from 1930. In the beginning of the trailer the director has used a long shot to show the old lady’s body expressions, what I mean by this is that the director wants us to see that she is worried because she keeps shivering. This is the reason why the director has used a long shot to give us away the narrative from the beginning. Then in the next shot there is a close of the cat to show us how scary the cat is. The director has done to show all the fear in the cat’s eyes and to connote it with the tittle of the film which is the cat creeps. Then in the next shot is a long shot and a low angle to make us see everyone standing in the room. The low angle and the long shot tell us that they are having a conversation. The low angle makes them look big and serious, the producer wants us to see that they are having a serious conversation and they are talking about something big, that’s why the low angle is used.
In the next shot the cat creeps in the room and a high angle shot is used which makes the cat look small. Then long shot is used to show the man clearly running up the stairs, which means something serious has happened.  The director has made the man run up the stairs rather than him running down is because he wants to build tension in the audiences mind about the serious thing that happened. The text used on the shot builds more tension because it says “its secret hidden in the house” after the audience see this they would get more worried and this also creates enigma about what has happened. As soon as the man hits the top of the stairs the camera starts panning with the man, to tell us that something serious has happened.
When the man is talking to the girl, a mid-shot has been used to show clearly what their conversation is about. Then in the next shot starts off with a mid-shot but ends with a long shot to show us how scared she is when she sees a cat, then again it changes to a mid-shot to express all her expressions and her fear. When they are fighting a zoom shot is used to show us that they are fighting and how serious they are.  In the whole trailer the camera movements used are panning and crane, because it is a serious film these shots would be the best which witch would fit in with the scene.
The family man 2000
Since the time period change loads of things changed, such as the quality of the camera, the shots, what I mean by this is that in 1930 they would use loads of long shots and later on when the time period changes they started using more close ups and more mid shots.  In the family man loads of camera shots and camera movements are used. In the beginning they start off with a long shot which later on changes in to mid shots. The reason why mid shots are used is because they give a clear message of the narrative and the director wants us to notice and recognise the genre of the film rather than him telling us.
There are loads of shots where tilting and panning is used, the most famous panning is when someone looks at something then turns to look at something else and the camera moves with his eyes that’s the most famous shot. In this trailer when something is serious mid shots are close ups are used but when something is funny or enjoyment moment then there are loads of long shots to explain and tell us the excitement. For example when the man has the baby in his hand and he is spinning this is a happy moment that’s why the director has used a long shot to makes us feel the happiness as well. When he is serious so when he is lying on his bed thinking they have use a mid-shot to show us how serious he is.

                                     Banned advertisements

On the 29th February, 2012 a sofa advert was banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). A furniture store has been banned from using an advert claiming its prices are 'Sofa King Low'. ASA banned the advert because of its slogan which considers "offensive and unsuitable for general display. Then the ASA concluded that the slogan is likely to cause serious or widespread offence. That’s why the banned the advert. Three newspaper readers complaint about it in 2004 but no action was taken, now the ASA banned the advert because it’s rude and offensive slogan.

Wednesday 4 July 2012 a fathers4justice advert was banned by ASA. Fathers4Justice ran a national press ad in March this year with the headline "Say it with hate this Mother's Day", alongside a picture of a toddler with various negative words written all over his body including pig, rioter, wife beater and rapist. We believe that the general sexist labelling of men and boys as 'rapists', 'paedophiles' and 'wife beaters' is as unacceptable and offensive as racism and homophobia," the ad said, calling on the website to adopt a zero tolerance policy to gender hatred. The ASA then said we therefore concluded that the ad breached the code. We asked Fathers4Justice not to imply that forum postings on Mumsnet's website indicated endorsement or support from the website itself."

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said the promotion, which showed a scantily-clad female in lingerie, 'objectified' women. The adverts sparked a string of complaints from both staff and customers, with one flight attendant claiming it portrayed cabin crew as glamour models. The campaign adverts have now been banned after a concerted effort from thousands of members of the public, who had called for it to be axed. Ryanair said the promotion, which had the strapline 'Red Hot Fares & Crew', featured shots taken from its 2012 cabin crew charity calendar. It defended the campaign saying the pictures were not sexist because staff members had volunteered to produce the images, the ASA said. But the watchdog disagreed and ruled the adverts could not appear again.
'We also considered that most readers would interpret these images, in conjunction with the text 'Red hot fares & crew!!!' and the names of the women, as linking female cabin crew with sexually suggestive behaviour,' it said.

Film noir is a crime genre that began in the early 1940's in Hollywood and remained a frequently used medium until well into the early 1960's.
In this trailer the low key and high key lighting keeps changing, so it changes in every shot. In the first scene where he is sitting down they have used low key lighting. I can tell this because you could see a back light focusing on half of the man’s body and then the other half is a shadow which tells us that they have used low key lighting. This is done to show us that the man is in tension. Then the lighting changes from low key to high key when the woman is walking. This is done to make the women look more realistic. After the women the first shot comes up again for like a second. After that low key lighting is used till he calls the girl over till then it’s mostly back light and shadows. When the woman is walking it is very dark and you could only see the glass of whiskey in her hand. The low key lighting does not change till he smokes the cigarette. When he smokes the cigarette you could Clearly see half of his face which means that it is high key lighting.  Then when he finishes the cigarette the high key lighting changes to low key lighting till the end of the clip.

The producer of this clip keeps changing the lighting is because it creates a very big effect. By changing the lighting every shot the audience start questioning them self’s about what is happening. Its starts creating enigma codes in the audiences minds and it confuses them about what is happening in the scene, which makes them get into the scene. The high key lighting is effective because it suggests things straight away. The low key lighting is very effective in its own ways, it creates suspense, and it creates confusion in the audience minds

The producer has low key and high key lighting in the poster, but mainly it is low key. The light on the man is low key lighting I can say this because most of his face you can’t see. The other bit which you could see is because of the lamp. The producer has done this to explain the character to us. To express his feelings to us, everything is dark only a little light is on the curtains which suggest he is worried because he is sitting with a gun and there is a bottle there. All the low and high key lighting is used for a reason which is to suggest something to us.  Outside the window is all high key lighting because you could see what is there and it is more clear and realistic.
The curtains are blacked out to make the other things to stand out, such as the bottle, the lamp, the gun, the glass. These are all there for some reason, to connote something and to also make the message clear about this picture. By using the low key lighting on the man, makes a shadow of him and it makes him look black and white. The amount of low key lighting also suggests the genre of the film which is an old action film.  On the face low/ a little bit of high key lighting is used to show all his facial expressions. Then the expressions suggest the drama action of Hollywood.
